Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE) – Communications Director


The Office of Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE) is seeking a Communication Director to lead her media and outreach efforts. You will be based in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. A strong understanding across print, digital, and other media landscapes is key. This position is responsible for drafting speeches, media advisories, press releases, and talking points. Ideal candidates will be able to think strategically and offer creative communication ideas to advance the Congresswoman’s agenda. The position will oversee a Press Assistant in the Wilmington office. Two years of relevant experience is required.

Chief of Staff: Ms. Jacqueline Sanchez (jacqueline.a.sanchez@mail.house.govjoined Rep. Rochester’s team as Chief of Staff in January 2019. She previously served as Deputy Legislative Director to Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE), Legislative Assistant to Sen. Mark Udall (D-CO), and Legislative Correspondent to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL). She holds a bachelors degree from the University of Southern California.

Legislative Director: Kevin Diamond (kevin.diamond@mail.house.gov) joined the team in March 2019 after service with Rep. Ann Kuster (D-NH). He was deployed to Iraq via the U.S. Marine Corps and graduated in 2012 from the University of Rochester.

Press Secretary: Kyle Morse (kyle.morse@mail.house.gov) joined Rep. Rochester’s team in 2017 after being previously employed by as a legislative correspondent for Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-IL) (2014-2016), and new media coordinator for Friends of John Delaney (2017). He graduated from George Mason School of Management in 2010 with a BS in management.

Operations Director: Kalila Hines (kalila.hines2@mail.house.gov) the team in January 2017 after serving as an Intern to the Office of Senator Jim Webb (D-VA). She earned an undergrad degree from the University of Delaware in 2003 and a masters in government & public policy from Regent University in 2009.
