Chief Executive Officer:

Theodore A. Mathas is the Chairman of the Board and CEO of New York Life Insurance Company, the nation’s largest mutual life insurer with more than $500 billion in assets under management. He has been the director since 2006, and CEO since July 2008. He became Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2009, and previously served as President from 2007 until 2015. He is a member of the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance, and serves on the Executive Committee of the American Council of Life Insurers, and on the boards of the American Museum of Natural History and the Partnership for New York City. He graduated with an A.B. from Stanford University with distinction in 1989. He holds a JD from the University of Virginia.
