The Office of Congressman Don Bacon (R-NE) seeks energetic and detail orientated Deputy Press Secretary/Digital Manager to support day-to-day operations of an active communications department. Responsibilities include managing the website, crafting content for social media channels, monitoring social media metrics, developing graphics and videos, covering hearings and press events in DC, and identifying new ways to engage our followers. Candidate will also assist Communications Director with drafting press releases, media advisories, talking points and other materials; assist with pitching national news stories, staffing interviews in DC, and maintaining press lists. Candidate must be an exceptionally strong writer with an understanding of AP Style writing, a creative self-starter, detail oriented and able to work under tight deadlines. Ideal candidate will be proficient with Adobe Photoshop, various social media platforms, manual photography and videography, and have Nebraska or Midwest ties.
