The Office of Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins (R-KS) seeks interns for her Washington, D.C. office. Strong written, interpersonal and organizational skills are required. Main responsibilities include leading constituents on tours of the Capitol building, processing flag requests, and assisting the Congresswoman and staff as needed. A stipend is provided during the course of the congressional internship to help cover expenses. Kansas ties are strongly preferred, but not required.

He was promoted to Senior Tax and Health Policy Adviser in February 2015 and Deputy Chief of Staff in November 2016. He previously worked for Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC). He graduated from the University of Kansas.
Communications Director: Michael Byerly (email@example.com) joined Rep. Jenkins’ team as a Staff Assistant in December 2012. He was promoted to Legislative Correspondent in January 2014. He left in January 2015 to serve as Press Secretary for Rep. Bruce Poliquin (R-ME) and returned to Rep. Jenkins’ staff as Communications Director in November 2015. He graduated from the University of Kansas.
Scheduler: Kristen Basilavecchio (firstname.lastname@example.org) joined Rep. Lynn Jenkins’ staff as a Scheduler in May 2017. She has a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University.
