American Gas Association (AGA) is seeking candidates for the position of Senior Staff Associate, Federal Affairs. The Senior Staff Associate reports to the Vice President, Federal Affairs and manages the administrative functions of the Federal Affairs department including clerical, administrative and meetings support to the team.
Responsibilities include maintaining schedules and files for the Vice President and other team members; preparing and maintaining departmental records, reports and follow-up files; scheduling meetings and conference calls; making travel arrangements including air, rental cars and hotel accommodations; preparing expense reports; and managing daily general operations to ensure the office is running efficiently.
The Senior Staff Associate will also be responsible for monitoring replies to member company requests and follow-up with staff to help ensure requests are satisfactorily handled; closely monitor the business expenses for the Vice President, Federal Affairs in his role as a registered lobbyist; and assisting with the budget – including preparation, forecasting, monitoring and tracking.
